About
Eight years on Melbourne roofs, and a habit of photographing everything.
Crowned Roofing is a Brunswick business. We do restorations, repointing, reroofs, commercial re-sheets and repairs across Melbourne, and we bring on crew as the job needs it rather than rushing work to fit a schedule.

How we work
The photographs are the point.
Roofing has a trust problem, and it is entirely deserved. The customer cannot see the work. They cannot check it while it is happening, and they cannot verify it afterwards without getting on a ladder. That asymmetry is how the trade earned its reputation.
So we photograph everything: the faults before we touch them, the work in progress, and the finished result. You get the set whether you go ahead with us or not. If we find something worse once we're up there, you get a call and photos before we do anything about it.
Credentials
What we hold, stated plainly.
Ask any roofer for this in writing. Anyone who gets cagey about it is telling you something.
- Public liability insurance: certificate of currency sent before we start, without you chasing it
- Working at Heights certification: required for the roof work itself
- Construction White Card: required for site access
- Eight years on Melbourne roofs across tiled, terracotta, slate and Colorbond
- Certification arranged where a particular job requires it
What we won't do
Worth saying out loud.
Quote from the driveway
If nobody has been on the roof, the number is a guess. Guesses get revised upward once the work starts, which is how a cheap quote becomes an expensive job.
Point over failed bedding
Quick, cheap, looks fine for a year, and fails. If the bedding has gone, it gets replaced or we don't do the job.
Coat a damp roof to hit a date
It will not bond and it will peel. We would rather move the date and tell you why.
Sell you a restoration you don't need
Sometimes the honest answer is a pressure clean and six tiles. We would rather do the small job and be the one you call next time.
Talk to someone who has been on the roof.
Free inspection, photographs of what we find, and a written quote. That is the whole offer.
